Diretto da Michael Dudok de Wit e sceneggiato dallo stesso con Pascale Ferran, La tartaruga rossa racconta le tappe della vita dell'essere umano attraverso la storia di un naufrago che finisce su un'isola tropicale popolata da tartarughe, granchi e uccelli. Film d'animazione quasi senza dialoghi, La tartaruga rossa conta sulla produzione artistica di Isao Takahata, animatore e regista giapponese fondatore insieme a Hayao Miyazaki nel 1985 del leggendario Studio Ghibli.
Directed by Michael Dudok de Wit and scripted by Pascale Ferran, The red turtle recounts the stages of human life through the story of a castaway who ends up on a tropical island populated by turtles, crabs and birds. animated film almost without dialogues, The red turtle counts on the artistic production of Isao Takahata, animator and founder along with Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki in 1985 of the legendary Studio Ghibli.
