Primo episodio
Un autotrasportatore di nome Elia, che usa un motocarro elaborato come una vettura da corsa, si fa assumere come cameriere in una casa di ricchi industriali, rimasti senza personale dopo che hanno licenziato la cuoca e il cameriere. Qui stringe amicizia con il suo principale di nome Caminito, con cui inizia a progettare l'omicidio della moglie. Anche se il piano è stato studiato bene, la moglie non muore, anzi muore il suo amante, l'ufficiale dei carabinieri amico della coppia, che in quel momento si trovava a letto con lei.
Rimasta viva, deve quindi evitare lo scandalo dando dei soldi e mantenendo suo marito e il cameriere. Sfortunatamente per questi ultimi, la moglie trova il progetto della sua uccisione, e i due si trovano nei guai.
Secondo episodio
Della Spigola è uno scrittore di fantascienza che non riesce ad avere rapporti con la moglie. Prova invano a travestirla da personaggio spaziale, ma va in bianco. Durante la giornata Della Spigola viene rapito dagli alieni perché a conoscenza di informazioni su di loro, ma in realtà erano solo delle coincidenze. Per accertarsi lo sottopongono a dei test molto strani, tra cui quello della temperatura che c'è su Phobos (uno dei due satelliti naturali di Marte in cui vivono), il test sulla forza centrifuga, sull'intelligenza, e da quest'ultimo deducono che il suo quoziente intellettivo era pari a quello di una formica presente sul loro pianeta.
Notando la sua incapacità decidono quindi di utilizzarlo, con scarso successo, per la riproduzione con la Regina Nera di Phobos che, secondo lui, era una donna bellissima, ma invece si rivela essere una creatura orrenda. Essendo un essere umano inutile gli alieni lo riportano sulla Terra e immediatamente racconta l'accaduto agli amici che, invece di credergli, chiamano un manicomio. Quando Della Spigola sale sull'autoambulanza chiamata scopre che i due autisti sono marziani.
Terzo episodio
Roberto Micozzi, mentre gioca a pallone in una piazzetta romana, riceve la cartolina per la visita di leva. Corre subito dall'amica Italia, prostituta di cui aveva chiesto la mano quando aveva cinque anni, pregandola di raccomandarlo "nelle alte sfere" che lei conosceva, per essere riformato. Ma invece viene arruolato nel 5º reggimento Bersaglieri, e messo al comando di un manipolo di trenta bersaglieri su un carrarmato lungo il confine svizzero. Il primo giorno delle "Grandi manovre" assaltano una fattoria e rubano galline, poi decidono di andare a comprare le sigarette a bordo del loro carrarmato e partono verso Bellinzona, ignari di cosa sta per provocare il varco del confine.
Le vedette svizzere avvistano trenta soldati che entrano nel Canton Ticino. La notizia si gonfia: ai generali elvetici è riferito che sono tremila; poi lo speaker della Tv svizzera interrompe le trasmissioni ed annuncia che "tre milioni di bersaglieri italiani in assetto di guerra stanno invadendo la Svizzera". L'allarme è generale e l'ordine del governo richiama alle armi tutti gli uomini validi, invitando la Svizzera alla resistenza contro l'invasore.
In realtà trenta ragazzotti sono arrivati in una Bellinzona deserta solo per fumare, e la prima cosa che fanno è dare l'assalto a un distributore di sigarette, che accetta i franchi ma non fornisce gli agognati pacchetti di sigarette. Allora puntano a una tabaccheria aperta, ma il tabaccaio è il sindaco della città. Sicché vanno a caccia del sindaco-tabaccaio, che scappa su un campanile. Assaltano il campanile, ma il sindaco stordito dal frastuono delle campane non ci sente, e non capisce la richiesta di sigarette.
Sulla via del ritorno i poveri fumatori, per una serie di equivoci nel caos di ordini e telefonate tra Svizzera ed Italia, fanno saltare in aria un ponte, credendo che la cosa sia una esercitazione rientrante nelle "Grandi Manovre". Finché vedono numerose truppe svizzere che li circondano, e immediatamente Micozzi fa alzare bandiera bianca. Micozzi esce quindi dal carcere militare ed incontra gli stessi amici bersaglieri, ora liberi ed esentati dall'esercito.
First episode
A road haulier named Elia, who uses an engine as a racing car, takes up as a waiter in a wealthy industrial home after being fired by the cook and the waiter. Here he meets friendship with his chief named Caminito, with whom he begins to design his wife's murder. Although the plan has been well studied, his wife does not die, or rather dies his lover, the officer of the couple's carabinieri who was at that moment in bed with her.
Left alive, she must avoid the scandal by giving money and keeping her husband and the waiter. Unfortunately for the latter, the wife finds the plan of her killing, and the two are in trouble.
Second episode

Third episode
Roberto Micozzi, playing balloon in a Roman square, receives a postcard for a leverage visit. He travels immediately to his friend, the prostitute whom he had asked for when he was five, asking him to recommend it "in the high spheres" she knew to be reformed. But instead he is enrolled in the 5th Bersaglieri regiment, and placed at the command of a handful of thirty bersaglieri on a dumpster along the Swiss border. On the first day of the "Great Maneuvers" they attack a farm and steal hens, then decide to buy cigarettes on board their cargo and leave for Bellinzona, unaware of what is going to cause the border.
Swiss sighters spy on thirty soldiers entering the Canton of Ticino. The news swells: to the Swiss generals it is reported that they are three thousand; Then the Swiss TV speaker interrupts the broadcasts and announces that "three million Italian bersaglieri in the wake of the war are invading Switzerland". The alarm is general and the government's order invokes all good men weapons, inviting Switzerland to resist the invader.
In fact, thirty guys came to a deserted Bellinzona just for smoking, and the first thing they do is to storm a cigarette dispenser, who accepts francs but does not supply the craved cigarette packets. They then point to an open tobacco, but the tobacconist is the mayor of the city. So they go hunting for the mayor-tabacap, who runs on a bell tower. On the way back, poor smokers, for a series of misunderstandings in the chaos of orders and phone calls between Switzerland and Italy, blow up a bridge, believing that this is a rehearsal exercise in the "Great Maneuvers".
