I fratelli John e George McIntire, tornati nel loro paese del West dopo una lunga permanenza a Boston, non tardano a rendersi conto che le buone maniere apprese in città servono a poco in una zona dove vige ancora la legge del più forte. Il loro tentativo di opporsi a una banda di taglieggiatori che sfrutta i coltivatori locali si concluderebbe tragicamente se in loro aiuto non intervenisse ripetutamente Camposanto, un killer legato da un debito di riconoscenza al padre dei due giovani. Nell'intento di sbarazzarsi di Camposanto, i taglieggiatori ingaggiano il "Duca", un noto pistolero, che riesce a mettere in seria difficoltà il rivale. Ancora una volta, però, Camposanto riesce ad intervenire in tempo ad evitare che John e George vengano sopraffatti dai banditi. Sgominata la banda, Camposanto, John e George recuperano l'oro sottratto ai coltivatori e lo restituiscono ai legittimi proprietari.
Brothers John and George McIntire, returned to their West Country after a long stay in Boston, are not too late to realize that the good manners learned in the city serve little in an area where the law of the strongest is still in place. Their attempt to oppose a band of squeezers that exploits local growers would end tragically if they did not intervene repeatedly with Camposanto, a murderer linked by a debt of gratitude to the father of the two young people. In an attempt to get rid of Camposanto, snipers engage the "Duke", a well-known gunslinger, who can put the rival in serious trouble. Once again, however, Camposanto manages to intervene in time to prevent John and George being overwhelmed by bandits. Against the band, Camposanto, John and George recover the gold from the farmers and return it to the legitimate owners.
