Nel 1985 Giancarlo Siani viene ucciso con dieci colpi di pistola. Aveva 26 anni. Faceva il giornalista, o meglio era praticante, abusivo, come amava definirsi. Lavorava al Mattino, prima da Torre Annunziata e poi da Napoli. Era un ragazzo allegro che amava la vita e il suo lavoro e cercava di farlo bene. Aveva il difetto di informarsi, di verificare le notizie, di indagare sui fatti. E' stato l'unico giornalista ucciso dalla camorra. Noi qui lo seguiamo negli ultimi quattro mesi della sua vita. La sua ultima estate quando, dal Vomero, dove abitava, tutti i giorni scendeva all'inferno di Torre Annunziata, regno del boss Valentino Gionta. Tutto, in quel periodo, ruotava intorno agli interessi per la ricostruzione del dopo terremoto e Giancarlo vedeva. E capiva. Lo vediamo muoversi fra camorristi, politicanti corrotti, magistrati pavidi, e carabinieri impotenti, come un giglio nel fango. Proprio la sera in cui venne ucciso, a Napoli Vasco Rossi teneva un concerto al quale Giancarlo sarebbe dovuto andare con la sua ragazza...
In 1985 Giancarlo Siani was killed with ten gunshots. He was 26 years old. He was a journalist, or rather a practitioner, abusive, as he liked to call himself. He worked in the morning, first from Torre Annunziata and then from Naples. He was a cheerful boy who loved life and his work and tried to do it well. He had the defect of inquiring, of checking the news, of investigating the facts. He was the only journalist killed by the Camorra. We follow him here in the last four months of his life. His last summer when, from Vomero, where he lived, every day he went down to the hell of Torre Annunziata, the realm of the boss Valentino Gionta. Everything, in that period, revolved around the interests for the reconstruction of the post-earthquake and Giancarlo saw. And he understood. We see him moving between Camorrists, corrupt politicians, judicious magistrates, and impotent carabinieri, like a lily in the mud. Just the night he was killed, in Naples Vasco Rossi held a concert to which Giancarlo would have to go with his girlfriend ...
