Walter Chiari e Paola Quattrini rispettivamente presentatore e madrina del VI Cantagiro sono coinvolti in uno spiacevole equivoco dal quale risulta che i due si sono sposati segretamente. In un primo momento i due attori vorrebbero smentire l'assurda notizia; ma poi Paola invece se ne serve per allontanare un fastidiosissimo corteggiatore siciliano che vorrebbe sposarla ad ogni costo E lo stesso Walter si guarda bene dallo smentire la notizia quando un facoltoso fabbricante di pasta fa ai due attori definiti "la più bella coppia del mondo", una favolosa offerta per alcuni caroselli pubblicitari. Il Cantagiro giunge così al termine e Walter e Paola scopriranno che in definitiva pur dopo continui bisticci ed essere arrivati al punto di odiarsi, formano proprio una bella coppia.
Walter Chiari and Paola Quattrini respectively presenter and godmother of the VI Cantagiro are involved in an unfortunate misunderstanding from which it appears that the two were secretly married. At first the two actors would like to deny the absurd news; but then Paola instead uses it to remove a very annoying Sicilian suitor who would like to marry her at any cost And Walter himself is careful not to deny the news when a wealthy pasta producer makes the two actors called "the most beautiful couple in the world", a fabulous offer for some advertising carousels. The Cantagiro comes to an end and Walter and Paola will discover that ultimately even after continuous bickering and getting to the point of hating, they form a beautiful couple.
