La trama del filmetto è costituita dalle prestazioni professionali ed ... extra del dentista Bernardino Livi. Un gruppetto di clienti, vogliosi di assaggiare il sapore della minestra altrui, si fa prescrivere, naturalmente ricompensando il dottore con adeguati onorari, un periodo di "riposo" per i rispettivi mariti e/o mogli, mentre intanto approfitta per gustare gli agognati piatti fuori casa. L'odontoiatra, che non soffre di inappetenza, consuma anche lui i suoi pasti in barba a tutti con il merito di divertire(?) gli spettatori che abbiano proprio voglia di divertirsi.
