Trama:
La trama racconta di un futuro prossimo nel quale una misteriosa epidemia si diffonde in tutto il mondo, trasformando molte persone in vampiri. Mentre la civiltà crolla, il dottor Luther Swann (interpretato da Ian Somerhalder) cerca di capire cos'è successo e come curare la malattia. Nel frattempo il suo migliore amico Michael Fayne (Adrian Holmes) si trasforma in un non morto e lentamente si impone come capo dei vampiri, mentre si avvicina l'inevitabile guerra tra vivi e morti.

'V Wars' è l'adattamento della saga, composta da fumetti e racconti, scritta dallo statunitense Jonathan Maberry e pubblicata in Italia da Magic Press. Gli sceneggiatori e showrunner della serie TV sono William Laurin e Glenn Davis, che insieme hanno scritto e prodotto titoli come 'Once a Thief' e 'Aftermath'.

Alla regia si alterneranno il già citato Ian Somerhalder e Brad Turner. Il primo ha all'attivo in questo ruolo tre episodi di 'The Vampire Diaries', mentre il secondo ha portato in dote un curriculum più corposo, che comprende fra le altre cose le serie TV '24', 'Stargate SG-1' e 'Stargate Atlantis'.

Nel cast, oltre a Ian Somerhalder e Adrian Holmes, troviamo Peter Outerbridge, Laura Vandervoort, Kyle Harrison Breitkopf, Jacky Lai e Kimberly-Sue Murray.
