Due razze aliene in guerra, gli Autobot e i Decepticon, trasferiscono il loro campo di battaglia dallo spazio alla Terra, alla ricerca di una potentissima fonte di energia, l'All Spark.
Durante la guerra che condusse Cybertron alla distruzione e alla sconfitta degli Autobot, una nave aliena chiamata "Arca" riuscì a lasciare l'orbita del pianeta, ma fu attaccata dai Decepticon; ciò portò la
nave a schiantarsi contro la Luna. Nel frattempo gli americani lanciarono il programma Apollo, e i due astronauti Aldrin e Armstrong trovarono i resti della nave degli Autobot, con all'interno giganteschi robot
senza vita. Al loro ritorno, il presidente Nixon in persona obbliga i più alti responsabili della NASA a mantenere il più assoluto segreto. La scena si sposta a Chernobyl; il Nest trova un particolare
dispositivo alieno che Optimus Prime identifica come "un pezzo dell'Arca". Nel bel mezzo della ricognizione vengono attaccati da Shockwave, che finora aveva governato Cybertron in assenza di Megatron, e il
gigantesco robot tentacolare Driller, di cui è il padrone..............
STORYLINE
Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Mirage (aka Dino), Wheeljack (aka Que) and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action taking on the evil Decepticons, who are eager to avenge their recent defeat.
The Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the United States and Russia, to reach a hidden Cybertronian spacecraft on the moon and learn its secrets, and once again Sam
Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. The new villain Shockwave is on the scene while the Autobots and Decepticons continue to battle it out on Earth.
