Ollio soffre di invalidità al piede destro a causa della sua eccessiva alimentazione. Insieme a Stanlio chiama un dottore il quale suggerisce di andare a vivere in campagna, in tenda e vicino a un fiume perché Ollio possa bere molta acqua. Insieme a Stanlio noleggia una roulotte e la trasporta in un bel posto in campagna. Non si sono accorti però che alcuni giorni prima c'è stata una rivolta con una sparatoria nel tentativo di nascondere bariloni di grappa illegale, che poi sono stati gettati nel pozzo situato nel luogo dove i due comici sono arrivati e hanno posteggiato; nel frattempo bevendo molta acqua mista con grappa dal pozzo si spingono a berne altra.
