Martedì 28 ottobre 2014, dopo 45 anni di esibirsi nella più grande musica dal vivo nella storia del rock, la Allman Brothers Band era arrivata al suo concerto finale. Il sogno creato da Duane Allman nel 1969 era venuto a buon fine, attraversato il trionfo e la tragedia, la gioia e il dolore, fioriva e vacillava e alla fine perseverò per raggiungere l'apice del genere blues / rock. La strada era apparentemente andata avanti per sempre, ma, nel 2014, il gruppo ha deciso che per sempre sarebbe finito al Beacon Theatre di New York City.
