Unabashed party girl, Kim, is in for a rush of reality after a one night stand results in unexpected motherhood. Clearly not ready for the dating "buzz kill" that having a baby can bring, Kim eventually comes to realize that being a good parent to a precious little boy has its own rewards...
Kim (Krysten Ritter), Deena (Kate Bosworth) e Laura (Rachel Bilson) sono tre giovani donne che vivono in armonia sotto lo stesso tetto a Los Angeles. Quando, dopo un'avventura di una notte, Kim si riscopre in attesa di un figlio, ogni cosa prende un aspetto differente. Con il sostegno di Deena e Laura, Kim si ritrova costretta a confrontarsi con le difficoltà dell'essere una giovane madre single e a rivedere le proprie ambizioni e i piani per il futuro, soprattutto dopo che la nascita del bambino non le permette di avere una vita sentimentale in grado di andare oltre al primo appuntamento.
