Forte di 18 titoli di campione del mondo, conquistati in un’epoca in cui i passaggi di consegne erano rari, Ric Flair divide con Hulk Hogan il titolo di stella più luminosa dell’universo del wrestling. Se in termini di notorietà Hogan merita il primato, Nature Boy è invece il prediletto dagli esperti della disciplina. Una degna rappresentazione del suo mix di teatralità e tecnica, quest’ultima sintetizzata nel soprannome Master of the Figure Four, è evidente nei 4 match di questo dvd: prima ha la meglio su “Rowdy” Roddy Piper al Madison Square Garden con uno dei suoi colpi di genio. Poi sfida per il titolo WCW alla Spring Stampede del 1994 Ricky Steamboat e l’esito è ancora più sorprendente. Quindi difende il titolo Intercontinentale nella gabbia d’acciaio con Triple H, fino a sporcare la sua inconfondibile chioma biondo platino. Infine si scontra con Shawn Michaels a WrestleMania 24. È il suo ultimo Woooo.

Vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper - I will say that I wished they would've put one of Piper Vs. Flair matches from the Mid-Atlantic area on here. Still, its a rare match and it is pretty good. Nothing on the level of Flair/Steamboat or Flair/Sting but it doesn't suck either.
Vs. Ricky Steamboat (WCW World Title Match) - While a great matchup from 1994, it falls short of their classics in 1989. Still, when these two got together, you are hard pressed to find a bad match between "The Nature Boy" and "The Dragon."
Vs. HHH (Taboo Tuesday 2005) - One of the best cage matches ever! While I do think this could've been left off for another Flair classic from the 1980's, the match itself is great!
Vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 24) - Another that could've been left off since this WM is now available. But the match itself is a classic so I have nothing bad to say about the match in itself. |
